persuasive writing

Dear Greymouth council
I believe we need a zoo in Greymouth to stamp out the boredom and make this town fun. Also, we need a much better connection with animals.

What the animals will be provided? Now that's a good question. The animals will be provided with a safe place to call home, fresh food and water every day, and a daily clean. There will be a sign out the front of the enclosure telling what type of animal there is and where they came from. There will also be enough space for visitors to maybe pet the animals unless they're dangerous.

The zoo would be good for Greymouth because Greymouth is starting to live up to its name and become grey. The people in this town an obviously starting to get a bit bored(so what way would be better than having fun while cuddling cute animals at the zoo?) The zoo will have 2 main benefits: make good moola, and make this town popular.

What animals are there gonna be? Hopefully: zebras, giraffes, lions, monkeys birds, crocodiles, fish etc. all collected from a safe environment. The animals will be handled with care and treated with kindness for the trip to the zoo. What would be better than that? We would either get them shipped or get them ourselves.

I hope you read all my reasons carefully and understand that having a zoo will be AWESOME! Also, have I said how amazing you are
sincerely daisy

  1. Ka rawe Daisy! What a great piece of writing. I love a zoo. What animal would you like to see in the zoo the most? My favourite is a Pygmy Marmoset but they are very hard to spot at the zoo.
