Hello, my fellow bloggers! Hope life is going..... CHRISTMASSY!!! So today was the second task for the SLJ (summer learning journey) and we had to write about our family and its traditions. I wrote about my family in Australia and their traditions. I really enjoyed this task because it meant I could express my family traditions. Hope you enjoy it!

Ten foods to bring on a 3 month voyage

 

• 18  apples  0.3 grams of protein in each

• 5 cooked chickens 

• 3 buckets of water

•  12 Avocados 

• 16 oranges 

• 8 heads of lettuce

• 10 kilos of carrots 

• Crackers 61grams of carbs 

• 8 types of dehydrated fruit. 1g per fruit

• 18 Bannanas 1.1 grams of protein in each

Hello, my fellow bloggers! Hope ....... Christmas presents are going well?? So this summer the summer learning journey is on and we seem to have a task to do today. We got asked to think of 10 foods to bring on a 3-month voyage. We had to think of protein and carbs. I really enjoyed this task and hope to do another which is similar. Hope you enjoy(and that I don't die on the voyage!)

Muesli Reflection

For the last couple of weeks while the year 7s were at tech, we have been researching about different types of meusli on the internet. We had to research a minimum of 3 types and look at thier nutritional info and there ingreidents to get an image of what we are gonna do ourselves. After we had done that we had a try of miss farrs muesli so we could see what hers tasted like. then she wrote the recipe up on the board so we could see what ingredients we could add to our own. Afterwards we set to creating our recipe, most kids added silly stuff like chocolate chips and 1 cup of honey to thier ingredients. The aim was to make it as healthy as possible, but at the end it looked horribly unhealthy.After we had finished that we  set to making our muesli boxes. Every box was different, mine was based on coconuts and it was called nutty meal, elises was called kitty crunch, lottes was called hoho muesli and it was christmas. we had to make it stand out so it caught peoples eyes. 

Last week we finnally started making our meusli, miss farr wasnt here so we did it with miss shannahan. We went entirely off our recipe and started adding choclolate and marshmellows and 4 table spoons of cinnoman. It tasted absolutely delicous and it was finished in one morning! It didnt ecxactly match the recipe but it was close? I would probably not add pistachios next time and more honey.

Little Miss Arty

 

Hello my fellow bloggers! Hope life is going....hot? Warm? Christmassy? So this week for writing we made little miss/ mr men books. My charector was little miss arty, shes a girl who loves art. I really enjoyed this task even though it took sooo long. My fav bit was making the people on a google drawing. After we post it on our blog we get to print it out and make it into a real book and put it into the school library. Have you ever made a book? If so what sort of book was it? I hope you enjoy my book!

Fish- apocalypse

 

Hello my fellow bloggers! Hope life is going good-ish! So today, well on Friday too, we made fish and Miss Farr told us to make it into an animation. This animation goes entirely off topic but its still ok. Its a bit gruesome but i'm sure you will be fine! I really enjoyed this task because it mewant i could make an animation and if you look at my blog on older posts than you can see i do alot of animations. Do you do animations? If so make one than post it on your blog! I hope you enjoy my animation.

Ms Farrs Home made Muesli

 

Hello my fellow bloggers! Happy Halloween ! So this Friday while the Yr 7s were at tech, we had a try of Ms Farr muesli. After we ate it we had to write on a Google Drawing about the pros and what can be improved. I thought it was really good!! Also today we got to dress up as a scary monster thingy to celebrate halloween, I was the clown in the second picture and my freind Katie was the kind of creepy doll/ clown in the first picture. Through the term we will be going through different stages to make our muesli, we did the first which was researching about health ratings. We will be doing this every week on fridays.
