Mardis Gras | Mardi gras is traditionally celebrated on “Fat Tuesday”. Which is on February the 16. | It is celebrated in well it’s celebrated ALL around the world is like America and RIO | Mardi gras was first celebrated in 1703 | Since mardi gras is on fat Tuesday you can eat as much different food as you possibly can | The celebrations go for about 2 weeks and by the time it is finished, it will be shove Tuesday. | Lots of different costumes which are brightly coloured | Large floats and a WHOLE stadium just for Mardi gras. |
Dia De Los Muertos | Mexico celebrates Day of the dead with a 2 day holiday between 31 October and 2 November every year | Oaxaca, Mexico City, And Merida | Once the Spanish overtook Aztek in the 16th century, the catholic church decided to have celebrations and rituals to honour those who died | Sugar skulls to represent the deceased skulls of those that died, And Bread to represent the departed souls | For 2 days | Special makeup and costumes which look like Skeletons | Sugar skulls, decorated altars to honour those who have passed and painted faces like skulls to show what the people that died look like now. |
Hello my fellow bloggers! Hope life is going great! So today ( as in 2 weeks ago) we have been learning about differnt celebrations for recoripical reading. Miss Farr ( my teacher ) said that this term and the next we are learning about celebrations. I thought this task was sooo long! But i think i did pretty good.
