Muesli Reflection
For the last couple of weeks while the year 7s were at tech, we have been researching about different types of meusli on the internet. We had to research a minimum of 3 types and look at thier nutritional info and there ingreidents to get an image of what we are gonna do ourselves. After we had done that we had a try of miss farrs muesli so we could see what hers tasted like. then she wrote the recipe up on the board so we could see what ingredients we could add to our own. Afterwards we set to creating our recipe, most kids added silly stuff like chocolate chips and 1 cup of honey to thier ingredients. The aim was to make it as healthy as possible, but at the end it looked horribly unhealthy. After we had finished that we set to making our muesli boxes. Every box was different, mine was based on coconuts and it was called nutty meal, elises was called kitty crunch, lottes was called hoho muesli and it was christmas. we had to make it stand out so it caught peoples eyes.
Last week we finnally started making our meusli, miss farr wasnt here so we did it with miss shannahan. We went entirely off our recipe and started adding choclolate and marshmellows and 4 table spoons of cinnoman. It tasted absolutely delicous and it was finished in one morning! It didnt ecxactly match the recipe but it was close? I would probably not add pistachios next time and more honey.

Which is on February the 16. | It is celebrated in well it’s celebrated ALL around the world is like America and RIO | Mardi gras was first celebrated in 1703 | Since mardi gras is on fat Tuesday you can eat as much different food as you possibly can | The celebrations go for about 2 weeks and by the time it is finished, it will be shove Tuesday. | Lots of different costumes which are brightly coloured | Large floats and a WHOLE stadium just for Mardi gras. |
Dia De Los Muertos | Mexico celebrates Day of the dead with a 2 day holiday between 31 October and 2 November every year | Oaxaca, Mexico City, And Merida | Once the Spanish overtook Aztek in the 16th century, the catholic church decided to have celebrations and rituals to honour those who died | Sugar skulls to represent the deceased skulls of those that died, And Bread to represent the departed souls | For 2 days | Special makeup and costumes which look like Skeletons | Sugar skulls, decorated altars to honour those who have passed and painted faces like skulls to show what the people that died look like now. |

Octopus writing
Have you ever wondered about the wonders of an Octopus?About what happens when they cahnge colour?Or even how many legs they have? Well today I am going to give you a bit of info about these magnefisent creatures so lets zoom in!
The octopuses diet normally depend on the breed but most octopus eat fish, clams, snails, and crabs. An octopus can change its apperance judging the colour around them, that transformation is called camoflage. An octopus has 8 tenticales and each tenticale has a brain so one teticale can draw while the others can bake or walk or conduct an ochresta.Octopus are found all around the world but they mostly prefer warmer climits like nearer the equator they hide in small holes in reefs.
Hope now you know slightly more about the octopus and that you know that each tenticale has a brain.Bye Daisy

in the holidays
In the holidays me and my dad went on a bike ride to kumara. We rode to this beautiful lake, the view was breathtaking. on our way back we went down this giant hill, dad was already at the bottom by the time I started going down.I was going peacefully down the hill when suddenly I swerved and I kept swerving and swerving when BAM! I flew through the air and landed with a defining crash. dad biked straight back to me.I had a deep graze on my knee and hand.so I had to ride while bleeding.Geeze what a great day.

the tree of life
Elise held hope in her outstretched hands. Kneeling gently on the ground, she prepared herself for what she knew she must do. The cool water trickled through her muddy fingers, and the soft, black earth felt comfortingly warm on her palmsPlanting the tree of life would mean a new beginning. The opportunities were endless…Feeling the excitement course through her quivering body, she lowered the tree of life into the small hole she had prepared. It was time…6 months later her town was made. elise was now a hero. the tree was now home to all, animals, people and more. but it needed water some time and she was the one to do it, elise walked up to the stadium, "everybody" she shouted "I am leaving to find water for the tree" "nooooooo" everyone yelled. elise sighed"I'm afraid yes in the meantime you will protect the tree" and then elise walked off . 5 minutes later she emerged ready for what life throws at her.then a great crash went behind her she slowly looked behind her and she saw ........ THE TREE! it has fallen down !!!!! sowly the world was cracking shorley its the end of the world.

a trip in kaikoura
It has been an 8-hour drive and we only stopped once. "hey dad, how long till we're there ?" I must have said that a million times." look daisy look!"Mabel shouted, and there right before my eyes were the dazzling blue sea, it was shining most invitingly. I finally felt excited, a bubble burst in my stomach. we were singing songs till we got to our campsite, the campsite was as packed as a circus, and there was even a pool! later we went down to the beach .while mum and dad were talking, Mabel and Xavier buried me in the stones. half an hour later I got up and felt something as small as a pea I my ear .it was a pebble !" mum dad I have a stone in my ear "I screamed .5 minutes later I was waiting in the hospital with dad. I noted how clean it was.it was as clean as a highly polished rock and as sparkling as a pua shell. on the first attempt, the doctors only managed to move it a little, then squirted water in my ear.it felt as though the Niagra falls were in my head! then we had to wait 2 hours then another doctor came and got it out.YAY. we went to the campsite and had chips for dinner it felt like a warm fire in my tummy. the next day dad told us he had a surprise for us.5 mins later he said it was sea kayaking I was so excited. half an hour later we were in our wetsuits with a kayak in our hands .the lady told us to look out for seals and little blue penguins. and then we were off! I asked dad if I can jump in but nope not now. we were kayaking for half an hour till we saw it, a little blue penguin bobbing beside us in the water .and before I knew it was gone. and that was surely the best day ever
